depends on whats under the hood. ok i saw the image of the engine now and whoever did that engine sure did know what he wuz doing its got some HKS racing parts in it. this thing has some nice parts. it may have low horsepower but that engine can take months to tune. i would actually buy that car if i could( but im 12, sigh) it would take me 6 months to tune this engine( im currently tuning an L28 engine in my garage, but i have to wait 4 more years to test it). its not alot of hp but seems like a great engine. jeez i can tell the guy wo previously had this car is great. that dealership has no idea of its true value
This is not what I would call "rice."
I think the car looks fine as is. I live in the United States, and with the two-piece headlight, the car should have an Acura emblem, not a Honda emblem. But we never had the VTI-R in the United States market, so I don’t know if it’s sold as an Acura or a Honda.
As for removing the wing, just leave it. It isn’t a mile high, and it looks decent considering the rest of the car. I like the way it looks. I would leave it like it is. I hate my cars being loud and annoying with those giant mufflers.
no i wouldnt call it a ricer at all.. after all R.I.C.E is
Race
Inspired
Cosmetic
Enhancements
you dont really even need to remove the spoiler, i can see why you would, but im just saying. dude it has no bodykit, no muffler, and no stickers. it doesnt appear to have a bunch of purely cosmetic mods. so definatly not a ricer… and fyi the rims do not make it rice.
now, i feel like i should warn you, if you live in the US, the integra is one of the most stolen cars in the country. exspecially 90s models. not trying to scare you from getting it. its a nice car. just letting you know if you do get it. you may want to take extra precautions to prevent theft, ie; killswitch, car cover, parking in well lit areas.
best of luck, it seems like a nice little car, that doesnt appear to have been raced, and for the most part it looks like a blank slate as far as mods. have fun with it if you decide to get it. best of luck.
that looks clean standard par the wheels,,no that is not ricer at all..
ive got a red uk 2001 teg type r ,,,keep it standard ,dont go chimp racer style lol and whatever you do dont remove the wing,it will look stupid
it isnt what i would count as a ricer even with the spoiler, a ricer usually has body kits a bigger spoiler huge pipe and in the interior painted, that is just a nice acura
No, not at all. Looks fine to me. Oh just so you know, ricer is the person, ricey is the car.
answer your own question. if you think its "ricer" then it is. personally i like everything but the wheels.

My passenger side window in my 2004 Honda Accord is not functioning properly?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 4:15 am, by adminI have power windows. The console on the driver’s side does not control the front passenger window anymore. However, if I do the passenger side console, the window will go down, but once I let go, the window rolls back up. It seems like an electrical problem of some sort.
I’ve tried restarting the car and that hasn’t changed the outcome. I’m just concerned because this could be a safety concern. Is this a relatively simple fix or will it cost a lot of money?
It’s not really a safety concern and is somewhat easy to fix. The problem is the switches get corroded from rain water falling into them. To fix this, you need to remove the door panel, then remove the switch assembly. Once removed from the car, you can disassemble the switches, clean them and reassemble. They should work like new again. If you don’t feel like doing this and like spending the money, you can just buy new ones.
I have a 1998 Honda Civic EX. How much would it be to replace the crankshaft position sensor?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 4:00 am, by adminHi Karl!
The OEM crankshaft position sensor itself costs about $54 from the dealership and $40 from OEM Honda parts sites. As for the labour fees, expect to pay anywhere from $150-$200. Therefore, the total cost for the replacement job would run about $200-$250.
Hope this helps!
Is 161,000 miles on a 1897 honda civic good?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 3:45 am, by admini saw this car on craigslist and its 1300 dollars for an old honda civic. with 161,000 miles. should i get it? is it worth it? i have money, the car looks good. but the miles, is it good? should i just keep looking? i cant go any more than 1500 dollars
well judging by its over 100 years old id say yes… next time read before you post
Out of all the answers, you picked THAT? Stupid.
yeah. just to tell him that. its just a few points, dont get too exited
yeah, that’s a safe amount of miles, just make sure you have the timing belt changed, I had a 1989 prelude that made it up to 240,000 miles but I got rid of it after I broke the timing belt(it was a 900 dollar car so I didn’t even bother, but if you really want it to last you should service it) and destroyed the engine.
you cant really pick and choose with your budget, anything that runs is going to be a decent deal. 160k really isnt a lot on a Civic, it can honestly go twice this mileage or more. i drive a ’97 Civic EX with about 270k on it, hell of a car. this will probably be your best choice for your cash, i’d say go for it.
Take it to a mechanic .
Have him check compression and look over car for problems. Expect to replace timing belt as soon as you buy it,get seller to knock off a couple hundred for repair unless can show you it was done recently.
Not that good.I have one the same year and it has 250,000 miles on it!Face it,Honda’s and Toyota’s are made to last long!
Is 1400 a good price for a Civic?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 3:30 am, by admin1995 stick shift with nothing wrong with it. Civic. 1400 dollars. Good price?
its a great price if it doesnt have over 160,000 miles on it. and it depends what motor it has in it too
Depends on the mileage and what has been replaced. But it sounds ok.

I have a 1998 Honda Civic Ex swapped (by the previous owner) with a b16a2 out of a 00. Why am i throwing codes?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 3:00 am, by adminI have a 1998 Honda Civic Ex swapped (by the previous owner) with a b16a2 out of a 2000. He used an B16y8 automatic wiring harness, and a p28 ecu. I’ve just replaced the ecu with the right ecu but i used a jumper harness to connect it to the wiring harness that came with the car. Now that I’ve done that, its throwing the code P1337 which is Crankshaft Speed Fluctuation (CKF) sensor circuit and the knock sensor code. To my knowing, nothing has been spliced on the wiring harness. So is something not reading right? What can i do to fix this problem?
Congrats you bought a mystery motor, something you NEVER DO. Why did the idiot use an automatic harness? I can guarantee the swap was not done right. Sell it while you still can.
dang a B16a huh, ur in luck. thats a great DOHC engine. but the guy himself seems to be a bad tuner. sure he got his hand on a great engine civic type R but the way he put it in is teribal. go to a pro tuner and talk with him bout it
When should you flush or change the transmission fluid on a 98 civic?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 2:45 am, by adminI don’t have a owners manual and I’m a little concerned
Never flush it, but changing it every 30K miles is recommended. It can go a very long time on old fluid without damage but the shifting gets rough. Only Honda ATF should be used for the same reason – Dexron does no harm but causes rough shifting. About half of the fluid is changed each time the transmission is drained and filled – the rest is inside the torque converter – so it will take three changes to get most of the old fluid out. Some people do three changes about a month apart when the transmission is full of old fluid, but really it depends on how the shifting feels.
if you are overheating or if the current coolant looks rusty or you find sludge in the radiator
Just..don’t.. get a new car
Headlight socket size for a 1999 Accord?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 2:30 am, by adminI’ve been looking at replacement headlight bulbs for my 1999 Accord EX Sedan, and I’m trying to find the correct size bulbs. I’ve been told I need 9005′s, and I’ve also been told that I need 9006′s, and I’m unsure which to buy. Any help or advice would be appreciated.Thanks.
yes
your low beams are 9006 size and your high beams are 9005.
try HID lights, they last longer and they are 3 times more brighter.
