Trying to buy a 2001 honda accord coupe?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 12:15 am, by admini have $4000 to spend and this is the exact car im looking for
not salvaged, no mileage over 150,000
Thats good… there are plenty of them out there buying private will be cheaper than a dealer as long as you know how to tell if there are problems before you buy, or take a mechanic with you..
Is there any other girls in NASCAR besides Danica Patrick?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 12:15 am, by adminthat are racing right now…
There are no girls in NASCAR. Danica Patrick races in the IRL. We need more though
Well that was already answered.
Zach P – You look more like a woman than Danica with your hair only half dyed like that. Also you shouldn’t be talking like that because this isn’t the 80s anymore so get rid of that thin little mustache, looks like a 14 year old trying to grow one.
Yes. There are the Cope twins, Crissy Wallace, & as mentioned a Canadian model turned race driver. Also Jennifer Jo Cobb & some other girl in the NCWTS whose name escapes me at the moment. There are probably others in the NASCAR regional series as well.
No women currently race in the Sprint Cup.
In the Nationwide Series and the Truck Series, the following women race on a semi-regular basis:Jennifer Jo Cobb, Amber and Angela Cope (daughters of past Daytona 500 winner Derrike Cope), Maryeve Dufault, and Johanna Long.
Yes, several as you have been informed of.Try watching a few races, you’d be amazed what you can learn.Dang, did you realize there is a team owned by African-Americans.Sarcasm people just saying, you learn a lot by watching and listening.
Johanna Long; Jennifer Jo Cobb; the Cope twins although they seldom race along with Danica Patrick in NASCAR…
maryeve deafualt, jennifer jo cobb, the cope twins, johanna long , milka duno, chrissy wallace
Kim Crosby, who was actually my 5th grade teacher, has done some racing in the Nationwide series.
@Original Amber and Angel Cope are Derrike Cope nieces not daughters.
Chrissy Wallace is raing in the lower series.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been the closest thing to a girl racing in recent years.
*Are
And yes, Maryeve Dufault. A very beautiful Canadian.
Danica is a woman, not a girl.
Jeniffer Jo Cobb and Chrissy Wallace
Jennifer Jo Cobb

IndyCar: Round 15, Twin Ring Motegi, who ya got?
Written on April 4, 2012 at 12:00 am, by adminTime for one last trip to Japan, the Indy Japan "The Final" is set for Saturday night EST, and is sure to be an interesting weekend. Will Power has done as he’s been pushing for, chipping away at Dario Franchitti’s points lead, now down to just 5, with three races remaining.
This edition of the IndyCar schedule brings the series to Twin Ring Motegi. Yet, due to the devastating earthquake this spring, the series will run on the road course, as opposed to the traditional egg-shaped oval. This bodes well for top road racers, and being such a new track, I don’t see any surprise dark horses making any significant runs.
That said, I’ll pick Will Power to win his seventh race this season, setting a new IndyCar Series record. He’s been too good on the road and street courses, and since Motegi will be a new venue for everyone (especially in these cars), Power’s skill and Team Penske’s adaptability will prove too much for any challengers. Power wins from pole.
As for you, who ya got?
Also, Danica mentioned last week she’d rather not go to Japan because of radiation fears. It makes sense why she doesn’t want to go, but she doesn’t have to lie about it. I mean, I wouldn’t want to travel halfway across the globe to finish 25th out of 28 :p
Will Power
I would not want to go if I were a driver, radiation levels change every day over there. I totally understand Danica not wanting to go, radiation is not good for gals who do want to have a family one day.. But, i’m going with my fav Will Power to win since it is being run on the road course this time.
Go Team Penske
I think it’s time Hintchcliff busted out with a surprize win. He’s been running and qualifying pretty good but just having some bad luck. Or maybe Rahal.:)
Worrying about radiation levels is just an excuse.
As for the race, I’ll take Power on this one.
Who thinks danica patrick should not drive?
Written on April 3, 2012 at 11:45 pm, by adminthe number 7 car number it is the same car number that alan kulwicki drove and if she is aloud to drive it then why don’t nascar just put the number 3 car out for somebody else to drive i mean this is bad that they are letting this happen i think we all miss adam petty and kenny irwin and davie Allison and dale Earnhardt i think no won else should drive there car numbers don’t get me wrong i like danica andmy favorit driver is tony stewart and i don’t know what he is thinking ether please answer appropriately
Any car owner can hire anyone they want to drive their car for them,JR. & Tony have both chose to hire Danica to drive for them.I’ve seen her drive, both times she led the Indianapolis 500 she wasn’t given that position.First time was with Rahal-Letterman, the last time was for Andretti-Green.
As for the car numbers, Yes, NASCAR Owns the rights to the numbers in all levels of racing.Richard Childress leases the #3 every year from NASCAR because he has the first option, he takes it up and holds it out.In the Camping World Truck Series, Childress chooses to allow his Grandson to run the #3.
Chlidress also for a while owned the rights to the #07 which was Bowyer’s original number.so there could be an option.
Oh, Oh, Oh Jr hasn’t won a race in over 100 races, so he should get out of racing? Now there is an Intelligent statement I read on here.He last won in Michigan using fuel mileage to do it.Danica won In Japan on fuel mileage, she shouldn’t drive in NASCAR.Just who makes these decisions,Kyle Petty drove for 30 years and had a total of 8 wins, Joey Logano has only one win in the #20 and it was a rain shortened race, does that mean he should quit?
If a driver can get a ride, it means he or she has either Talent or a big sponsorship deal.Paul Menard sucked and caused a lot of wrecks when he started, he used the sponsorship of his dad’s company to back him.Today he has vastly increased his competency. I don’t particularly like Brad K. but I don’t think he should get out of racing.Let the teams run their business. Dang! That pesky Hendrick’s Team just signed JR thru 2017, where were their heads??!!??
Should Danica drive, Damn-Skippy she should.Like it or not she probably wont cause any more wrecks tha JPM does.
Well, Danica for 1 is not getting the 7 since Robby Gordon (who currently competes with the number) has already stated he is sticking with it. As far as the number 3, Richard Childress, who still since 2002 has acquired the rights for the number has stated he would not entertain the thought of using the number anytime soon/under the right circumstances.
Just saying though, so then in your mind it is wrong for Robby Gordon to be using the number 7?
Well, for starters, what about Robby Gordon, who also drives the #7? Or Justin Lofton, who drives the #7 in the Truck series? Another thing, NASCAR doesn’t own the #3, it belongs to Richard Childress, and it’s his decision whether to use it or not. And Danica was given the #7, because Jr Motorsports already was running it. She didn’t request it, nor is she trying to offend anyone by running this number
It’s up to the owners to use the #s or not.
Sky Warrior – Actually NASCAR does own the #s, the car owners pay NASCAR the rights to use the #s. So right now Richard Childress is still paying NASCAR for the rights of the #3. It’s basically up to Richard on if or when the #3 will be used again in Cup.
Kulwicki is One of 40 drivers to use the 7. Robby Gordon has it now and just announced he will be starting and parking the next few races. I would like to see Danica take over the 7 but it’s not up to her. It’s just a number anyway.
.
Don’t worry about it, Robby Gordon is not going to give up his #7, he is the driver who currently drives the #7, and he has said no way is he giving up his number.
Go 88, 29, 2 in 2011
I loved Kulwicki, but no numbers are retired or Mark Martin might be driving 39876 by now. Jr should be worried about having to smell Danica’s fumes next year.
MEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! The only reason she is racing is because she brings in the publicity and merchandise money. frankly, she stinks at racing and shouldnt be racing sprint cup.
I say give her the chance. If she fails then I would say she should not drive. She is just learning tracks that the Cup stars have spent many hours driving on.
I think all this making a big deal about car numbers is silly. It’s just a number on a car.
Im sure she will only drive the 7 car in Nationwide since Robbby Gordon owns the 7 team for cup.
Number 3 isnt just a number. Number 3 is NASCAR
Learn to spell kid. It’s "allowed" not "aloud" & "no one else"
Sorry, but your ignorant, and it shows.
She can drive whats available. We do not do special handouts for women in NASCAR.
She hasn’t proven herself and yet she gets a cup ride…whatever. I miss the old racing too…when drivers were allowed to be racers…
Hey floot…it’s "you’re" not "your".
For the people who think NASCAR is easy.?
Written on April 3, 2012 at 11:30 pm, by adminIf you really think it’s just driving in circles, turning left, and so easy…why don’t you try it? The winnings even in the lower series is still in the thousands. In the higher series, it’s hundreds of thousands to millions. Even the 40-th placing drivers are making tens of thousands in the Sprint Cup series. So, what excuse do you have just sitting in an office and making just enough to get buy when you can become an millionaire by just driving around in circles a couple times a week? Hm? How about it? If it’s soooooo easy, then you’d be a fool not to go for such an easy payout…
NASCAR driving is the hardest motor sport there is…takes a tough strategy and precision in driving less than an inch next to a wall or other car…no one can just get in one of those cars and drive it. This isn’t like F1 where you just drive down the road by yourself.
Smileyman:If driving were easy, the drivers wouldn’t make millions. If anybody could do it, the teams would look for the driver willing to do it for less. But the drivers are able to demand more – because they’re good at what they do.
Flutterby: You’re flat wrong about F1.Don’t be as ignorant about F1 as others are about Nascar.
If it was easy everyone would be doing it. You need lightening fast reflexes and a body that can withstand hot temps for long periods of time driving at speeds up to 200+. The average person would kill themselves or someone else trying to maintain those speeds under those conditions.
All forms of professional auto sport are hard.I did have to laugh at smileymans answer though.
Flutterby id like to see you drive an f-1 car.Do you have any idea how hard that is?
Oh and these are not buttons on an oven you press
formula1inside_f1/unders
The hard part is getting a ride.
The actual driving part is easy.
F1 and NASCAR both very difficult. Playing the video games at first is even difficult. Haha
how about $150,000 just for the car, not including all the tires and fuel you go through in a race
I want to became a car racer?
Written on April 3, 2012 at 11:15 pm, by admini have my own car i want ot participate in car race for that what should i do
if u have time (means u have time till 25 or 30 yrs of age means u are in no hurry then)try joining some clubs of karting and practice in that as much as you can . believe me schumacher practiced karting for nearly 13 yrs. but if you have lots of money then try owning a good kart and a private track and practice as much as u can. then after try going for some competitions like rotax max karting, jk tryre or any other.
then organize yourself to formula ford or formula bmw etc.
now after go for f3 then f2 and f1. simple….:) right? no!!!!!
these will be simple if you have lots of talent and money and your parent support and confident. i mean it. schumacher’s mother worked in a hotel canteen, his brother worked in an automobile shop just to support his racing.
also, i want to tell u one more thing……………… my mother is also not letting me go to this career because she hates it i don’t know why! but i’ve went for karting one month after other without asking her 5 times. i live in raipur chattisgarh india and i’ve got two tracks one this one
youtubewatch?v=hL08agZMy
and the other of level three which got only 2 apex and 5 hairpins and a damn kart.
and my parents will not let me out from this city till i’ll go to attend my collage. iam 13 now. but after all of this i’ve got one idea. that wen i’ll go to my collage i’ll be practicing and going for championships.
then there will be no one to stop me.
so about u if you’ve got some awesome tracks and good place then i request you plz don’t waste it.
and yeah one more thing ………… this career is very dangerous means it is 20% sure that u will be an f1 driver so prepare a back up like do some automobile engineering because by this u’ll be connected to motorsports and you’ll be happy and who knows u become a test driver of an f1 team and they recognize your talent and u become an f1 driver
)))
good luck no no ononononono
all the best
@ghanshyam-i hate that u have no knowledge . i feel very sorry that u’ve got no ideas of your own
A lot of people want to race cars. Very few become professionals.
Your own car is not likely to be enough. To race it it would probably need to be modified to certain specifications as laid out by your country’s governing body.
But really, you have not given us enough information to work with. I don’t know what kind of car you have, what kind of racing you want to do.
My suggestion is to contact your local car club and see what information they can give you.
But also, please remember this old racing adage:
"How do you make a small fortune out of motor racing? By starting with a large one!"
if u have time (means u have time till 25 or 30 yrs of age means u are in no hurry then)try joining some clubs of karting and practice in that as much as you can . believe me schumacher practiced karting for nearly 13 yrs. but if you have lots of money then try owning a good kart and a private track and practice as much as u can. then after try going for some competitions like rotax max karting, jk tryre or any other.

Now that Junior is in the chase (gagging) will NASCAR will there be an empty seat in the final 10 races?
Written on April 3, 2012 at 11:00 pm, by adminNow that NASCAR successfully manipulated getting Jr in the chase, will NASCAR attendance finally come back to pre-2008 levels?
Remember when DW said all we need is Jr in the chase to "sellout?"
I don’t know about the grandstands, but NASCAR will surely try and fix this race for him!
Nascar can’t compete with NFL just starting and Baseball getting ready for play off and World Series, I’m sure we are going to see empty seats its beyond me why they are starting the Chase in Chicago, home of millions of stick and ball sports fans..I’m sure stands will be alittle better maybe 70-75% full at the most..Nascar needs more than Dale Jr to win, look at the stands already theres more 88 fans than any other driver. So its time for the other drivers fans to show up.
Go 88, 29, 2 in 2011
We’re still right in the middle of an economic recession, despite the government propaganda otherwise, so no, many people do not have the money to blow on a race weekend. The weak economy accounts for about half of the empty seats each week. The rest of the empty seats are due to the poor quality of the racing that occurs most, but not all of the time now.
Alright Mr. Conspiracy Nut, where’s your proof that NASCAR manipulated anything? Or are you just to dumb to admit that Dale Earnhardt Jr. is more talented than people give him credit for and raced in on his own skill?
You’re forgetting Brad K just needs a good finish with Jr running mid-pack for Dale Jr to be punted out.
They will find that it will not change the stats on average.
Yes, and he was buzzed on Jack Daniels.
nope. the stands will still be 75% full like usual
Why can’t a rookie win the NASCAR championship?
Written on April 3, 2012 at 10:45 pm, by adminThey can.It isn’t easy and it has never happened in Sprint Cup but they certainly can.
Rookies can win the NASCAR Cup championship. But there are a few factors that make it damn near impossible.
1. Most rookies have hardly any experience driving a cup car, as it is their first year racing it. Unfamiliarity with the machine you are driving suggests you are learning how to drive it half the time, instead of focusing on getting race wins.
2. Along with that unfamiliarity comes with a lack of experience. Transitioning from a 650hp (or so) Nationwide car to an 800hp beast with considerably less downforce in a much more competitive environment.
3. Most rookies in NASCAR start racing for back-marker teams, or race teams that don’t necessarily run towards the front often. They have to prove themselves capable of driving that car well enough (and not crashing it) to work their way up to a more competitive team with better quality equipment.
These factors are the meat and potatoes as to why a rookie hasn’t won the NASCAR Sprint Cup championship yet.
Well which championship are you talking about? Trucks? Nationwide? Cup? I know of one driver that won the Nationwide championship his rookie year and that would be Dale JR. He then won it again the very next year. I’m sure other rookies have won a lower series championship, but I don’t think a rookie has won the Cup championship.
When Junior won his Nationwide Championships Cup drivers were not dropping down and driving both series. He wouldn’t have those championships if he were driving Nationwide today.
Denny hamlin made the chase his rookie year, but i don’t think any rookie has wonit.I don’t think there is a rule against it.
It is possible, though not likely with the likes of HMS, RCR, EGR, JGR, etc to contend with.
They can – in theory.Just isn’t likely.
Rate current F1 drivers?
Written on April 3, 2012 at 10:30 pm, by adminI think it should be:
1.Alonso
2.Button
3.Hamilton
4.Vettel
5.Webber
6.Massa
These are only of the top 3 teams that is.
I always thought Lewis was better than JB, but at Monza Lewis(with a faster car) was struggling to pass Schumi. Whereas Button passed Lewis and Schumi within a Lap.
So far this year
1) Alonso 7/10
2) Button 8/10
3) Hamilton 7/10
4) Vettel 8/10
5) Webber 6/10
6) Massa 4/10
7) Schumacher 5/10
Rosberg 4/10
1.= Hamilton
1.= Button
3. Alonso
4. Vettel
5. Webber
6. Massa
7. di Resta
8. Rosberg
9. Schumacher
10.= Kobayashi
10.= Senna
12. Perez
13. Petrov
14. Heidfeld
15. Alguersuari
16. Sutil
17. Barrichello
18. Maldonado
19. Buemi
20. Ricciardo
21. Kovalainen
22. Trulli
23. d’Ambrosio
24. Glock
25. Liuzzi
26. Chandok
27. Karthikeyan
28. de la Rosa.
There you are, a list of all the drivers who have competed in races this year in the order I would rank them.
With the top 6 you’ve listed i’d arrange them like this
1.Vettel
2.Button
3.Alonso
4.Hamilton
5.Webber
6.Massa
to that list i’d also add Bruno Senna (yes he has only been in two races but considering his racing background he has done a very good job) and also Nico Rosberg as he has yet again out paced Schumacher on a regular basis.
1.Alonso 9/10
2.Button 8/10
3.Hamilton 7/10
4.Vettel 7.5/10
5.Webber 4/10
6.Massa 6/10
first of all- i don’t got your Q.
if u are up for driver’s standings then, here it is:
formula1results/driver/2
1. Alonso 8/10
2. Vettel 10/10
3. Hamilton 4/10
4. Button 6/10
5. Webber 5/10
6. Massa 3/10
1: Vettel
2: Button
3: Rosberg
4: Alonso
5Di Resta
6: Hamilton
1 ham. 2 but. 3 alo. 4 vet.
Guessing Mario Andretti, Rick Mears, etc aren’t still racing.
