No Grammys for Justin Bieber, Lady Antebellum the Big Winner

The 53rd Grammy Awards did not disappoint, except naturally for Eminem, Justin Bieber as well as a couple of other artists who did not fairly take residence the hardware they could have expected. Fortunately for Bieber and Eminem, their careers are in fine shape – and they’ll most likely have much more than adequate time to add Grammys within the coming years. Rather, Sunday night belonged to Lady Antebellum, the country-first cross-over group who had the year’s second-best selling song with Want You Now. That song and record took property Grammys and Lady Antebellum bagged 5 total Grammys on the night, the greatest winner. They had been only nominated in six categories.

In addition towards the massive night from Lady Antebellum, there had been other memorable moments, including Lady Gaga’s performance and Cee Lo. Gaga entered the awards in a giant egg, then emerged from the egg to perform her new single, Born this Way. The performance was powerful and included tiny horns protruding from Gaga’s head and shoulders. She appeared to create the wise selection to basically lip synch the performance, given the quantity of dancing and running about the stage that the number needed.

Perhaps the greatest surprise with the night was that Justin Bieber did not win for Greatest New Artist. Although getting far and away one of the most well-known and recognizable name in that category, it was rather Esperanza Spalding who took property the Grammy. In addition to besting Bieber, Spalding’s win was surprising due to the fact she is actually a Jazz singer and most likely not identified directly by the majority with the nation. Needless to say, the Grammys are awards decided by critics, not album sales or screaming fans – so you’ll find nearly constantly surprises.
